Staff Accountant

The Opportunity:
Precision Therapeutics, Inc. is a diagnostics services company dedicated to providing physicians and patients with actionable clinical information to personalize cancer treatments.  We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant.

Duties & Responsibilities: (Include the following: other duties may be assigned)
The successful candidate will join a talented team of accounting professionals in processing, tracking, analyzing and reporting of financial information to assist management in making the decisions necessary to help Precision Therapeutics, Inc. succeed.

A successful Staff Accountant in this start-up environment will:

General Duties

  • Review and approve expense reports through Concur online platform
  • Prepare and enter General Journal entries
  • Perform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Reconcile corporate credit card transactions with processed expense reports
  • Help maintain Fixed Asset ledger in ACCPAC accounting software
  • Create and distribute monthly expense analysis
  • Perform regular audits of expense reports
  • Assist with pulling data and support for annual audit

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Minimum Bachelors degree with a major in Accounting
  • Preferred Experience:
  • 1-3 years experience in an accounting or auditing position
  • Prior experience with month end accounting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prior experience with Concur expense report system
  • Required Skills:         
  • Team approach where no task is too menial, but with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Capable of learning and growing with rapidly expanding company
  • Well developed and effective communication skills
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Tools (Excel-Spreadsheets & Pivot Tables, Word)
