Sean McDonald
President and CEO
Sean McDonald joined the company in 2001 and serves as President and CEO. Previously, Sean founded Automated Healthcare in 1992, developing the first robotics-based solution to hospital pharmacy management. Automated Healthcare was successfully acquired by McKesson Corporation in 1996. While at McKesson, he held the position of Group President over several operating companies with annualized revenues in excess of $250 million. Sean has been instrumental in recruiting and developing a successful management team to Precision in the areas of Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Sales and Clinical Trials. Sean received a BS in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Florida.

David R. Heilman
CFO
Dave Heilman has served as Precision’s Chief Financial Officer since November 2007. Prior to joining Precision, Dave was affiliated with The Meridian Group, a private middle market investment banking and turnaround consulting firm. Prior to joining Meridian, he served various roles at GNC Corporation and its predecessor companies, including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, and Vice President of Strategic Planning and Corporate Development. Earlier in his career, Dave also held a variety of positions within Westinghouse Financial Services, including President of their subsidiary First Westinghouse Capital Corporation. Dave holds an undergraduate degree from Bucknell University and a MBA. degree from the University of Pittsburgh.


Mike Gabrin
Chief Information Officer
Mike Gabrin joined Precision in October 2001 as Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO). He is responsible for Product Development and Information Technology. Prior to joining Precision, he was Vice President Product Development and Chief Technology Officer at Vocollect, Inc. While there, he led and developed teams in the discovery and assessment of new markets, and, subsequently, the development of products in order to effectively penetrate these new market segments. Mike received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.

Holly Gallion, MD
VP, Clinical Affairs
Dr. Holly Gallion, Precision’s Vice President of Clinical Affairs, is an internationally recognized and board-certified gynecologic oncologist. At Precision, her duties include developing clinical trial strategy, overseeing clinical and translational research, and coordinating physician liaisons. Prior to joining Precision in 2004, Dr. Gallion was a practicing gynecologic oncologist providing surgical and chemotherapy services for women with gynecologic cancers. She also held several academic and administrative positions throughout her nearly 30-year career, including Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship Director at Magee Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh and Gynecologic Oncology Program Leader at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Center.

Dr. Gallion is a member of several academic and professional associations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology. She continues to actively work in clinical research and has published more than 100 referenced papers and more than 80 editorials, reviews, symposia proceedings and books. Dr. Gallion is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine.

Sharon Kim
VP, Business Development
Sharon Kim has served as Precision’s Vice President of Business Development since 2001. Prior to joining Precision, Sharon served as Vice President of Business Development for McKesson HBOC Automation Group. In that role, she directed all strategy and business development activities for three operating companies. Prior to this, Sharon was a Manager in Deloitte Consulting’s Healthcare and was a founding member of their Total Health Management team. She has over ten years of industry experience in healthcare. She has a BA in Economics and an MBA from Stanford University.

Tony Lam
VP, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance
Tony Lam joined the company in 2008 as the VP for Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance. Prior to joining Precision, Tony was the VP of Regulatory & Quality for Thermo Fisher in Diagnostics for the US and International divisions. Previously he served in VP and Director roles at leading pharmaceutical, biologics, and diagnostics companies including Bayer, Alza, and Chiron during his 30 year career. Tony’s specialties are in vitro diagnostics, molecular diagnostics, and pharmacogenomics. Of note, Tony was instrumental in the FDA clearance of the molecular pharmacogenomic diagnostic of Applied Biosystems/Celera Diagnostics’ HIV Resistance Genotyping Assay; successfully established the Regulatory Affairs functions at GE Healthcare, Molecular Diagnostics; worked with LabCore and Quest CLIA labs to establish validation of ASR reagents for Applied Bio and Thirdwave; and accomplished turnaround compliance to Quality Systems of US QSR and ISO 13485 for Thirdwave, DAKO, Chiron, TAGO, and Caltag (both Invitrogen). Tony has a BS in Microbiology and a MS in Immunology and Genetics from the University of Oklahoma.

Matt Marshall
VP, Sales and Marketing
Matt Marshall joined the company in January 2007 and serves as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Matt comes to Precision with twenty-two years of healthcare technology sales management experience. Previously, Matt served as Senior Vice President of Sales at McKesson Corporation, National Vice President of Sales at Automated Healthcare, and Regional Vice President of Sales at HBOC. In addition, Matt serves as an outside board member of Alliance Medical, PayerPath, and Anodyne. Matt has been instrumental in recruiting and expanding a highly successful national sales team, as well as leading a national marketing campaign. Matt has an MS in Accounting from DePaul University and a BS in Marketing from the University of Illinois.

Alan Wells, MD, DMSc
Acting Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Alan Wells is currently the Thomas Gill Professor of Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh and Medical Director of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Health System Clinical Laboratories. His research programs on tumor invasion and metastatic establishment have been funded by the NIH, NSF, VA, DoD and ACS among other sources. He has published over 100 articles in highly respected journals. Dr. Wells graduated with a degree in Biochemistry from Brown University in 1979, followed by a Doctor of Medical Sciences in Tumor Biology from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm in 1982. After an ACS-sponsored post-doctoral fellowship in Tumor Biology at the University of California, San Francisco, Dr Wells returned to and received his MD from Brown University in 1988. His residency in Laboratory Medicine at the University of California, San Diego involved further research in tumor signaling. Dr. Wells has been inducted into the American Society for Clinical Investigation and the Association of University Pathologists (Pluto Club).
